Sergio Martos Rosillo

PhD in Geological Sciences from the University of Granada (Spain) and Postgraduate in Underground Hydrology from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. He is currently a Senior Scientist at the Geological and Mining Institute of Spain of the Higher Council for Scientific Research (IGME-CSIC), work that he combined between 2005 and 2012 with that of Associate Professor at the Pablo de Olavide University in Seville. He belongs to the European Union Expert Group on Nature-Based Solutions for Water Management in Agriculture. He is the general coordinator of the Research Network "Sowing and Harvesting Water" of the Ibero-American Program of Science and Technology for Development. He is also a member of the Committee of Experts on Groundwater of the Junta de Andalucía, member of the International Association of Hydrogeologists and member of the Hydrology Section of the Spanish Commission of Geodesy and Geophysics. He is currently the speaker of the Technical Water Commission in the Sierra Nevada Natural Area Participation Council and permanent guest member of the Board of Trustees of the Fuente de Piedra Lagoon.
