José Mª Martín Civantos. Associate Professor of Medieval History and Archaeology at the University of Granada (Spain). Coordinator of the MEMOLab, Biocultural Archaeology Laboratory. Working since 1998 in the analysis of historical irrigation systems and irrigators communities in South East Spain. Since 2014, as the coordinator of the FP7 MEMOLA project, working also directly in the recovery of irrigation channels and the empowerment, dynamization and defense of the communities managing the systems. His work has also reached some other territories in the Iberian Peninsula, the Mediterranean and Latin America. Some references in:
